"LA BOHEME"
Act II, "Musetta's Waltz"

La Boheme - Act II

La Boheme has been rightly called a true work of genius and its composer's masterpiece. A tender, tragic story of love among the artists and their residents of the Latin Quarter, in Paris of the 1890's. It is a perennial favorite of Opera fans! One of the most delightful moments in Grand Opera occurs in the second act of Giocomo Puccini's "La Boheme!" Musetta, the flirtatious artist's model, sings a sparkling waltz outside of the Cafe Momus in which she immediately celebrates the unsettling effect her remarkable beauty causes everywhere she goes. In a sudden change of mood, she considers her former sweetheart Marcello, and scolds him for avoiding her when it is obvious to everyone that she is irresistible!
