"Pops at the Puppet Opera"
First Edition


Pops at the Puppet Opera takes great pleasure in offering you a trip down memory lane recalling to mind Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, Hollywood"s famous Metro Goldwyn Mayer singing stars of the late 1930's and early1940's. Our performance begins with Jeanette and Nelson singing their famous "Indian Love Call" from Naughty Marietta", their first film together. This will be followed by Jeanette singing "Only a Rose" from Vagabond King". Nelson Eddy sings the title song from his film with Eleanor Powell, "Rosalie", followed by Jeanette MacDonald singin "Le Fille de Cadiz" from her film "Cairo" with Robert Young. To end this edition of "Pops at the Puppet Opera" we offer two famous moments from "Naughty Marietta". First Nelson Eddy sings "I'm Falling in Love with Someone" and then is joined by Jeanette MacDonald in their famous duet "Ah sweet Mystery of life
